Hey!  I'm Ashton...

I love the outdoors and living on the coast.  I was born and raised in South Carolina, so this is what I call "home."  In my spare time you can find me at the beach, on the river, fishing, painting, journaling, working on random DIYs, cooking, or reading.  My little old lady furbaby, Roxi, comes with me everywhere- including the office!

If you’ve ever heard of the Enneagram, I'm a type 9, also known as the "Peacemaker," "Mediator," or "Healer."  Nines are characterized by our natural tendencies to be understanding, accepting, supportive, open minded, non-judgmental, and genuine.

I’m passionate about mental health because I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to question your entire existence, and to feel like giving up.  I’m grateful for the challenges I’ve overcome in my life because they’ve enabled me to truly empathize with my clients while knowing that things can get better...much better.

I have over 10 years of experience using art therapy and counseling with a variety of populations in the field of mental health.  I've been working with First Responders since 2019 and this population has become one that I am most passionate about.   I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) specializing in trauma

My Christian faith is important to me and I am able to offer a faith-based perspective for those who choose to make this a part of their work with me; however, I work with people from all walks of life and belief systems.  It is completely up to you to decide if or how we incorporate religion and spirituality.

I’m excited to work with motivated, introspective individuals who want to feel better about themselves, life, and their relationships.
